Continuous improvement of the system
In the near future, the most modern dispatch center in the region will be operational as well as the first company’s contact center, integrated billing. For decades ”Elektrovojvodina”, besides its core business represents sort of a center of development. The company monitors and implements the newest technological achievements in the field of its operations. Almost on a daily basis it elevates and certifies the level of knowledge if its employees, as well as expertise level of all the personnel involved in the working of such a complex business system. PRIORITIES AND INVESTMENT INTO FUTURE

Management system for Smart Grid concept will bring in the near future revolutionary changes needed as to enable high reliability, efficiency and flexibility of electro energetic system. Today’s intensive preparation of personnel and introduction of new technologies is the prerequisite for the realization of tomorrow’s greater business and objective development, inter alia, for the mass use of renewable energy sources available in the northern Serbian province.
Furthermore, ”Elektrovojvodina” is preparing to quickly put into operation the newest dispatcher system in the region, its first contact center, integrated Biling, to put into operation significant number of electro energetic facilities and to improve the supply of electricity and expand the spectrum of services it provides to the customers. By making an additional step towards its customers, it will also modernize its front office centers in all branches. Such an orientation of ”Elektrovojvodine” means that it will offer even more and even better as to maintain its current market and business leadership. Soon to be launched loyalty programm, in cooperation with the Development Bank of Vojvodina, will be the first local organized and integrated market presence in an effort to create solid and easier terms of payment for the customers. The quality of service must be measured not only by the quantity of electricity delivered to the customers, but also by customers complete satisfaction – which is becoming the permanent corporate commitment that should not ever be menaced. – During this year we shall invest 50 million Euros for new facilities, network maintenance and enabling it for higher level of workload. Based on the experience from the last season, this year’s budget plan and time frame of the planned activities, we expect to provide all of our customers with total security of energy supply– says Dr Тihomir Simić, the head of the ”Elektrovojvodina”.
– If the ability and preparedness of the power system are best measured in the winter, the last winter season proved that ”Elektrovojvodina” is fully ready part of ”Electric Power Industry of Serbia”. This result was achieved thanks to an extremely high degree of recognition of the need for investment and maintenance, along with the great self sacrificing effort of many people. As the focus of development, we have opened new possibilities for economy development as well as in improving the quality of living for the citizens. The field of future activities is broad, ncontinued the head of the company. Thanks to the investors who would built industrial buildings in technology parks or industrial zones, the activity of ”Elektrovojvodina” focuses on objects which in fact could be the priority, such as reconstruction of the substation ”Vršac 1” (110/35/20 kilovata).
– Here is anticipated construction of the most advanced energetic and protective management equipment. Undergoing is also reconstruction of 20-kilowatt plant in the substation ”Vršac 2”, with the installation of modern equipment. Supporting the development of the municipality of Zrenjanin, we planned the reconstruction of substation ”Zrenjanin 1” (110/35 kilowatts), where completion of documentation takes place. Significant investors have appeared in Sremska Mitrovica, so the reconstruction of the substation ”Mitrovica 1” (110/35/20 kilowatts), which began several years ago, is now resumed. Installation of the latest generation equipment is anticipated. In Inđija, in the industrial zone, new substations of 110/20 kilowatts and with the newest energetic and protective management equipment are under construction.

CONTRIBUTION TO THE USE OF ENERGY

Four years ago, from the renewable energy sources in Vojvodina, it was possible to have only up to 1% of energy. Toda, the situation somewhat improved. Some facilities for processing and use of biomass were put into a systematic utilization. Also in use is geothermal, wind, solar and hydro power potential.
Utilization of wind power is still minimal. So far there were only partial actions. Inventive individuals were building tiny wind turbines to satisfy their needs. On the basis of projects which are in progress, it is expected that the wind energy will soon be significantly utilized.
– In cooperation with the Faculty of Technical Science we intend to set up the first solar power plant, an according to one of the plans, on top of the ”Elektrovojvodina” office building in Novi Sad – says Dr. Tihomir Simić. – The solar power plant of ”Elektrovojvodina” will not be just symbolic, but it will produce energy for our internal needs.
Director of ”Elektrovojvodina” attended the Forum ”Crans Montana” in Vienna, dedicated to ”energy poverty as a global problem”, as the sole representative of the Serbian economy.
– It was concluded that the level of responsability for utilization of our own resources and monitoring of energy efficiency is the priority task for all who expect development and qulality of living for the citizens. Therefore, 2012 is announced under the motto ”Energy for All”, in order to mobilize all resources available in the mankind, and for the rational use of traditional energy sources and the more powerful application of modern technological solutions and energy management. And in this perspective Serbia has waste reserves available. By developing its own resources and by utilization of available potential, it can be worlwide recognized as a partner – said Dr. Tihomir Simić.

Substations and stability
Since 2000 began the intensive construction of substations of all voltage levels. Today, ”Elektrovojvodina” has 60 substations of 110 kilowatts level. Quality of work provided proved that no part of its network is compromised. There are indeed, some parts that are less reliable, for example, Banat (in which little was invested), then the border municipalities, mainly towards Romania and Hungary, but also some parts of Srem and Bačka. This is the result of earlier reduced spending in these areas. These days the situation is changing.

”La Pikolina”
– The first major wind farm will be ”La Pikolina”, nearby Vršac. In cooperation with ”Elektrovojvodina”, investor initiated the construction of transmission lines that will connect wind farms with the main electro energetic network – says Dr. Simić. – The strength of this wind farm is six megawatts, enough electricity to supply 400 households with average consumption. It will be the green energy incorporated in network. Power transmission line connecting it to the network is 14 kilometers long, and the investor is ”Elektrovojvodina”.
